Bob Null brings a unique combination of civilian and military experience, education, and volunteer-work that significantly enhances his suitability to serve on the Colorado Springs City Council.Bob was a career military man for over 35 years, rising from private to Colonel while serving in various management and command functions throughout the world. He held Four Commander assignments, serving in Europe and the Far East in addition to numerous assignments throughout the United States. He was responsible for mission performance, personal management and training, as well as budget and expenditure controls, Bob gained valuable training and experience that will be advantageous in understanding the complexities of today's fiscal climate.
After the military, Bob embarked on a professional career serving as Vice President for a large government-contracting firm, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Bob was extremely adept at producing quality products on time and under budget. His outstanding performance directly contributed to SAIC's meteoric growth in the highly competitive technical services and support industry.
Bob is the majority stockholder, President of the Board and CEO of a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Wireless Service provider - High Plains Internet (HPI). HPI employs local technicians and other personnel.
Bob's leadership experience includes serving as an appointed Commissioner or Committeeman on numerous Colorado Springs and El Paso County Commissions and Committees. Serving in these capacities, He has gained significant insight into the planning, budgeting, and expenditure control processes used by our local government agencies.
